Feeling the Blues | OOTD

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.

Hello to you all.

There's 2 problems with colours and fashion, its either too much or just too plain. Come to think of it, this is probably one of the reasons why we stand in front of our mirrors for hours with our partners complaining about being the last ones to the event.
Hey, and not forgetting the disastrous scene behind of clothes used and dumbed into a heap.

Let's try and at least help get some inspiration or at least cut a few minutes or even if we're lucky, a few hours off our getting ready time.Hopefully we can kill two birds with one stone.

Blue on Blue,

Blue is a colour which make anyone feel relaxed, just like the piercing blue ocean, no doubt why it's a hot pick for Spring and Summer season.
If you're thinking of matching it with colours, white, your 50 shades of grey, yellow and gold go incredibly well with it. But what happens when you just have it plain ol' blue?

I went for a dress which hugs at the tops and then flows into an almost pleated form at the bottom to allow more freedom of movement and air during the hotter temperatures.

The gathering at the top of the dress takes away the fact that this is not just a basic dress, it adds a different texture to the dress with the simple brown buttons to add colour.

With this being said, it allows you to create more ways of wearing the dress instead of being too much or too basic.

Throw on a basic white tee for more of a cover up and you're good to go, definitely if you want to add on another colour to break up the blue.

Or, since It hugs perfectly at the top, you can remove the straps to create a boob tube dress. Don't worry, the dress would not slide or move anywhere.

For accessories, I stuck with a bangle again with a metallic blue colour almost bringing out a different texture and silver metal earrings. This allows the outfit to break away from being 'plain and simple'.

Lastly, the whole outfit came only from one shop, PRIMARK.
Since the dress was bought a while ago, I have found a few similar dresses and a few more of my favourites for affordable prices. Just click on the picture to be directed to the website.

Are you feeling the blues?

Hope you have a wonderful blessed day.
Lots of kisses and hugs
